Biography
Jimmy Moore has been a professional guitarist for nearly twenty years and holds Doctor of Music degree in Classical Guitar Performance from Florida State University, where he served as an assistant to the world renown guitarist/pedagogue Bruce Holzman. Dr. Moore is currently the Director of Guitar Studies at the Manatee School for the Arts in Palmetto, FL. His efforts have taken him across continents and defy classification. Moore has served on the music faculties of Florida State University, Middle Tennessee State University, Tallahassee Community College, the National Guitar Summer Workshop, the Darton College Guitar Worshop and the Cultural American Music Program.He also holds a private studio in which he has a 100% acceptance rate of students who have auditioned for the Florida State University College of Music (a top five music program).

- 2006 Awarded Doctoral Teaching Assistantship from Florida State University under Bruce Holzman
- 2004 National Finalist in the Young Artists Guitar Competition for the Music Teachers' National Association
- 2003 Southern Division Representative in the Young Artists Guitar Competition for the Music Teacher's National Association
- 2003 Winner of the Collegiate Guitar Competition for the Tennessee Music Teachers' Association in Nashville, Tennessee
- 2002 First Prize Winner in the Beethoven 25th Anniversary Young Artists Competition in Memphis, TN
- 2001 Awarded Full-Time Graduate Teaching Assistantship at Middle Tennessee State University
- 1999 Awarded Music Scholarship at Florida Southern College
- 1998 Received Academic Merit Award from Florida Southern College
- 1997 Awarded Music Scholarship at Hillsborough Community College
